Jump, everybody, jump!

Our dear friend, Koebe, let us use her pool while she was away, and we had such a great time! The kids LOVE the diving board and did well with their jumps. I worked with Claire on diving-- Jude was in the stroller and the boys were bobbing about in their floaties. It was so nice to have a private pool to make use of our skills!

S-T-R-E-T-C-H!

Jude has this funny lil' habit of dropping things behind the couch cushions-- plastic rings, cars, anything!  Today I caught him dropping Thomas the Train behind the cushions. He didn't know I was watching. His determination and stretching of that little torso was too fun to watch!

Asher and Avery's 4th Birthday Party

Another year older! The twins are done with the threes! I would love to get all sentimental and reflective, but I am whooped! Here are some pictures from today's party. It really was indeed a fun birthday. The tae kwon do instructors were terrific and the boys had a lot of fun. I asked the twins what their favorite part of the party was and they said... "Running around in the room." :) Not the board breaking. Not the cupcakes. Running around the room. Ha!

Lorikeets Feeding Success

I figured with the rain we would only be able to make it to one side of the zoo-- the covered side with the reptiles, Australian animals, and carousel. The kids LOVE feeding animals so they had to "settle" for feeding the lorikeets, which surprised me b/c those stinkers are loud and aggressive-- the birds, not the kids.

Rainy July day

"So what?" Say the flooded Floridians. 

But for this Texas contagion, rain?!? All day?!? In the middle of summer???

We hit the zoo this morning and did all of the indoor activities which was fun. All the big kids fed the lorikeets too! 

For dinner, we walked down the street to Dickey's BBQ and on the way home, splashed in the puddles. Jude loved his dinner, and I just thought Avery's bottoms were too cute. 

Gotta beat the heat...

... so off to the Arboretum we went... at 7:15 am. Yay for early risers!
