Ft. Worth Zoo

Along with Auntie M, we ventured out to the Ft. Worth Zoo for the first time! It was a neat place-- huge!-- with lots of "natural" trails and walkways. Definitely worth the drive.

Claire's favorite animals were probably the flamingoes. (Although looking at the picture, her face certainly doesn't show it! Yikes!) They were quite talkative and put on quite a show.

Auntie M comes to Dallas!

Megan came out to Dallas en route to San Antonio before attending a conference for work. The weekend went far too quickly, but we took advantage of the time together.

We got down to see the traveling King Tut exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art-- really neat! The lines were manageable in the morning, so we did well going at 10 am. Scott and Claire met us at the Nasher Sculpture Gardens, another first trip since she has been walking, and really enjoyed the outdoor structures.

Dallas Zoo

With another gorgeous day under our belts, we took a trip to the Dallas Zoo with our friends, David and Michele. The animals were very active (perhaps too active-- the gorillas started fighting!) and enjoying a warmer day.

Walking at the Arboretum

Taking advantage of an atypical warm day in Dallas, we headed to the Dallas Arboretum, our first trip since Claire started to walk. Thank goodness the pansies were on their way out b/c Claire sure did her fair share of walking through the flower beds!
