The Start of the Birthday Celebration

 

We kicked off Claire's 5th Birthday celebration tonight! She helped me bake her cake-- chocolate, of course, and then I got to make it into a unicorn for her. Baby Jude woke up in time for a fun foursome shot. Exhausted already, Claire snuggled up with "Unicornia" an early birthday present.

The house is decorated. Presents are wrapped. Auntie Meggie arrives tomorrow. Off to school and some fun wknd events!

... the kids will play! Well, I wasn't too far away... Daddy-o took the big kids back to the Spring Creek Nature Preserve while I got some work done for our twin's club sale.

Birthday Hike

For my birthday this year, Claire wanted to take me hiking in the woods. (She also wanted Daddy to print out a a map to a jewlery store so she could buy me a necklace and earrings-- how sweet!!!) We were blessed with GLORIOUS weather after an inferno of a week, so we headed out to the Spring Creek Nature area for a little walk in the woods. The kids threw rocks in the creek, Baby Jude enjoyed the fresh air, and the twins were so fascinated with the frogs they collected.

1st day of school!
