My little airplane, rocket ship, Tinkerbell, and sweet pea! What a fun night of trick or treating! Avery loved shouting out Halloween greetings to everyone. He and Claire raced around the block, hitting all of our friends' houses. Asher was a very enthusiastic rocket ship at the beginning but ran out of gas toward the end. And finally! One of my babies wore this Halloween costume!

Jude's Baptism
Today is the feast day of St. Jude, so it was so wonderful to be able to have Jude baptized on this very day! He was a super trooper, listening to the readings, sleeping during the homily, and then howling when Father Josef placed water over his head. : ) He did light up when Father Josef held him up for all of the church to see and applaud. I guess he's used to loud noises. It was a wonderful morning-- we could feel all the love from family and friends, near and far.

Dallas Zoo!
What a cold and fun trip to the Dallas Zoo! Uncle Lee and Aunt Lily joined us for the adventure as did Mima and the crew. We rode the monorail and carousel, fed the giraffes, played with the chimps, and rode the carousel!

Owen's Farm!
We took a trip this afternoon with Mima and the whole family to Owen's Farm. The kids had fun feeding the goats, checking out the Zebu, donkeys, ponies, Percherons, and fowl. We got to take a hay ride and pick out our own pumpkins! We even ran into an old friend who had adopted one of our foster Labs, Hughes, from 6 years ago!!! My does time pass...

Not kids nor dogs...
This post is simply natural... A dragonfly on a Chihuly glass sculpture...

Fall Picnic with the Twins Club
Tinkerbell turned puppy! She started off as a fairy but the attraction of face painting caught her!
Well, another attempt at a family photo-- I think we are all looking at the camera. :)
Baby Jude and Mima-- such an exciting time! Really wore him out. It was rather warm but lots of fun activities and good times!

My bookends...
Claire has really enjoyed Jude getting bigger and growing stronger. She loves to push him in the swing, which is the same one I used to push her in...

Once upon a time there was a good dog named Carly...
Oh who am I kidding? She was never a good dog! : ) She is a guilty, naughty nut who has given me my fifth gray hair! Don't let this picture fool you!!!
One day, Mommy was feeling creative, had an extra 5 minutes before picking up Claire from school, so she made these spider cookies. She and the boys went to pick up Claire and never thought that these creatures would disappear from 38" high counter.
Well, the vet must;ve put an extra spring in Carly's knee, b/c when we returned home from school, the plate was empty.
Mommy called the dr and the said, "She'll be fine."
So Mommy remade the cookies for the big kids...
... and they all lived happily ever after.
PS I do love my dog. I really do. Both of them. Forever. And Ever.

Cold Front has arrived!!
The cold front we had been waiting for all week finally arrived last night! How refreshing to put on pants and jackets (although it was a bit of a scramble to find everyone's outer wear and guess who would be in what size!). We had a nice morning indoors at home and then hit the Arboretum in the afternoon. Now it's time to settle down and watch some college football!
