Take 5
I need a few minutes this afternoon to just sit. Sit and think. Sit and veg. Sit and blog. It's been a very busy and productive week, but time keeps on ticking!

Spring time is here!
It was a cold start to the day, but it was a wonderful trip to the Arboretum this morning. We were first in line for face painting-- Spider-Man and a white tiger. The boys were pretty cooperative for posing for pictures, and I was pleased to get what I did!

Another one bites the dust!
Remember Asher's mouth injury from January? (He tripped and hit the slide, taking a huge chunk out of his cheek and jarred his front tooth. Ouch!) Well, fast fwd 6 wks and here we are at the dentist for a regular cleaning when I remember his injury. Sure enough, he had an abscess on the gum line and the root was infected and damaged. Today, the brave boy had it removed. Mama Bear here was a nervous wreck but Asher was awesome. He is napping now and can't wait to put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy tonight. (Avery insists that the tooth fairy has a mustache, so we will have to see how that works out...)

My bird girl
Another cold cold day on the beach! Had fun in the pool and hot tub as well as a nice lunch out after church. C'mon sunshine!
Humor is contagious
Ah, what can I say? The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. On the sand sculpture creation wave, I paid homage to my pound pups with this labor of love.
My funny daughter, on the other hand, added this.

While waiting for sunshine...
We took the kiddos to the Texas State Aquarium in corpus cristi yesterday. It was a nice little place with some great animal talks. Also nice to be out of the elements. But never fail, we did venture out to the beach and pool in the afternoon.

Ready or not, here they come!
The twins are registered for kindergarten! Holy smokes! They will begin in August and follow in Claire's footsteps.
