Well, one good thing...

Un-bunking the twin's beds gave Carly the perfect view to watch the world go by.

It only took 10 days, but what a feeling to see a "sold" sign on our Tophill house! Waiting for the bids to come in from two contractors...

On the eve of their 5th birthday...

I'm going to take a moment and reflect. Time has passed way too quickly for this dynamic duo. They are the best of friends, two peas in a pod, yet as different as night and day, oil and vinegar. I have loved them with all my heart since the day we heard "heartbeats" and not just a "heartbeat." They make me laugh, they make me cry, and they make me sit back wonder how this is all going to work out in the end. Asher is so kind and thoughtful, intelligent and silly. Avery is so spirited and loving, witty and boyish. (Just today he told us he was allergic to owls. Good thing we don't encounter them too often.)

They humored me today and got into some of my favorite newborn poses from the early days. I'm a sucker for now and then shots...

5 years old. What an adventure life has been!

Happy Birthday, July guys!

Who would've guess that we would have the coldest July weekend since 1945 the day we had our boys' birthday party??? I mean, 68 degrees?? July 19?? Dallas?? Oh well. At least there wasn't a tornado. We had a wonderful little celebration for Asher, Avery and Jude. About 41 people showed up to show their love and support of boy-trio. The kids swam, had fun with noodles and slides, and enjoyed a warm pizza lunch at our beloved Terrace Pool.Two hours went too quickly!

Jude learns a new word: booboo

Poor little guy... He learned it the hard way. Heading out of a play place, he tripped over his own two feet and landed on his water bottle. Split lip. Blood. Bruised tooth. I knew this was going to be bad. 

Urgent care sent us down to Medical City where we actually have our own spot: "Reserved Parking: The Morrisons". Waited an hour outside, An hour inside, and then saw the doctor. Three little stitches and voila! We were done. What a trooper he was. 

Dentist today reported no damage to his baby teeth. 👍

He's eating well and only had a little bit of bleeding today. 

(This happened on Thursday afternoon.)

It's a done deal!

We successfully closed on our new house yesterday! Move in date TBD.

It's getting hot in here!

Happy birthday, Jude!

Today is the day! My baby turns two! We started off his special day with presents and a donut breakfast. Then off to the pediatrician for his two year checkup-- 37.5" tall, 31 lbs. which puts him in the 100th and 80th percentiles for height and weight. Imagine... Then it was a quick grocery stop, library, and lunch at Arby's.
